How to Search Clickbank for Products to Promote

Clickbank is loaded with a number of different products spanning more than a dozen different categories, each of them making up a part of a massive network of potentially profitable affiliate marketing options. However, knowing which product to choose and how to get started can be overly stressful and complicated.

When you first arrive at Clickbank, click on the Marketplace link to start searching through products listed for sale on the page. You will find multiple categories to search through. Each category can be broken down into a number of subcategories including the newest products, ones related to each other and ones that sell better than others.

The key here is to understand what each of the different factors used to separate the products mean. There are many of them and they can be confusing if you don’t know what they mean. To start with is Gravity, a score that will display toward the end of each listing.

The gravity of a product is a composite score based on how many unique affiliates have made sales of that particular product within the last 6 weeks. Recent sales are weighted more heavily. Keep in mind though that if one affiliate sold 1,000 products, they would still only count as a single point in the gravity for that product. The higher the gravity for a product, the more competition is out there, but also the more effective the product is at selling.

Additional numbers to look for are the percentage of the total cost you will receive for making a sale. A standard number is 50% but it can be as high as 75% or beyond in some cases. Additionally, you can see what the average amount per sale each affiliate makes beside this number and the total percentage of sales that are made via affiliates.

This last number is often a good indicator of how well the product converts when affiliates send their visitors to the page. You will want to keep a close eye on this number as you do not want to waste time building up traffic for a sales page that does not convert.

Upon checking these numbers, look at sales pages to see what they provide. If a sales page is littered with questionable graphics, messy text and unclear instructions, it is unlikely to convert well no matter how well you presell.

However, if you find a clean cut, well written sales page with concise instructions, good samples, and an attractive layout, combined with high gravity and conversion scores on Clickbank’s Marketplace, you can be sure the product is a high converter and will thus make you more money in the long run.

Choosing the right product on Clickbank can be hard, but if you do your research, read through each of the factors presented in the Marketplace and make and educated choice on what to promote, you can eliminate many of the issues that tend to arise.
